The Dark Triad is a framework in personality psychology that measures three socially aversive (but evolutionarily advantageous) traits: Machiavellianism, narcissism, and psychopathy. First described by researchers Paulhus and Williams in 2002, the Dark Triad has become one of the most studied topics in modern personality science.
Unlike clinical diagnoses, Dark Triad traits exist on a spectrum. Everyone has some degree of all three — the question is how much. Moderate levels of these traits are associated with leadership ability, competitiveness, and strategic thinking. Only at extreme levels do they become destructive.
A Dark Triad test gives you a score from 0–100% and maps you to a personality profile based on your dominant trait. It's not a judgment — it's a mirror that shows you the strategic, competitive side of your personality that most tests ignore.
